With production currently underway, the upcoming Disney sequel has added yet another big name.

Puss in Boots himself, Mr Antonio Banderas, has been added to the cast of 'Indiana Jones 5'. The Oscar-nominated star will join Harrison Ford for what is likely to be his final final outing as the whip-smart archaeologist.

Having already been part of many recognisable franchises in his career, including roles in 'Zorro', 'Shrek', 'Spy Kids', and 'Pain & Glory', his inclusion in yet another action franchise is quite exciting.

Banderas will join Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Toby Jones and Shaunette Renée Wilson for the sequel movie.

This time around, Steven Spielberg will serve as a producer on the movie, with James Mangold taking over the reins as director. John Williams will also be returning as the composer of the movie, having worked on every score in the franchise since it began in 1981 - 40 years ago. Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and James Mangold co-wrote the script together.

Production is already underway on the project, with plot details currently under wraps. With Mads Mikkelsen on board, we're guessing he's playing the baddie of the movie. Phoebe Waller-Bridge of 'Fleabag' fame will be playing the female lead. Pictures of the star were taken earlier this week while on set, wearing '60s attire.

Antonio Banderas joins 'Indiana Jones 5' after finishing up working on his newest action-thriller 'The Enforcer'. Shot earlier this month in Greece, the movie also stars Kate Bosworth and 2 Chainz.

'Indiana Jones 5' hits theatres on July 29, 2022.
