Yeah, we're just as surprised as you are.

However, there's pretty solid evidence to suggest that the 1985 classic from the Dire Straits' album, Brothers In Arms, can fit over the ending of almost any film ever made. The discovery was made by editor Peter Salomone, who placed Walk of Life over a variety of films to see if the song fits.

It did. Every time. What exactly do we mean? Here's two of the best examples we could find.

Yes, that's the Matrix fitting with Walk of Life. Another example? How about Jurassic Park?

One more? Our personal favourite, the original Planet of the Apes.

Is Dire Straits like the musical equivalent of the golden ratio? Or is it the fact that cheesy Dad-rock from the '80s just goes with everything? Who knows. The Walk of Life Project now has a whopping FIFTY entries so far; some being classics like these whilst others aren't as perfectly fit as these.

The real question, however, is what exactly happened that Walk of Life came to play over a film ending? That's the real mystery.
