The tenth installment of the 'Fast and Furious' franchise has a release date.

The news arrives after 'Fast and Furious' (aka 'F9') hit cinemas earlier this year to big box office success.

The movie grossed $681.5 million at the box office and is the third highest grossing movie of the year (after 'Hi, Mom' and 'Detective Chinatown 3').

EW broke the news that the next installment of the franchise will debut on April 7, 2023.

Justin Lin is back on directing duties.

It is expected that franchise star Vin Diesel will return, along with Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Chris Bridges, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez.

Dwayne Johnson is not returning.

As for John Cena's Jakob Toretto and Jason Statham's , there's still question marks over their participation.

It was also previously teased that the next movie will have links to Gisele, who is Gal Gadot's deceased character.

We also know that 'Fast and Furious 10' will be the second last movie in the franchise, as Vin Diesel and Justin Lin previously indicated.

Shooting for the latest installment takes place in January 2022.

There's a possibility that the tenth and eleventh movies will be filmed back-to-back.
