Jason Mamoa has given us a first-look glimpse at the new threads he'll be wearing in the upcoming comic book blockbuster.

The 'Aquaman 2' suit is looking very snazzy indeed - and there's not just one, but two of them. The star of the next instalment of the superhero franchise has teased what he'll be wearing while down in Atlantis, and it's fair to say that his new costumes are a major upgrade to the first movie's wardrobe.

'Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom' will see the actor wear an upgraded version of his iconic green and gold costume, first seen in the 2018 movie, as well as a brand new "stealth suit" which looks to be a darker, more metallic version of his typical Aquaman garb.

Check out both versions in the teaser images below, which Jason uploaded to his Instagram along with the caption: "Second round. New suit. More action. #aquaman Aloha j"

We suppose that this will tide us over until 'Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom' releases in cinemas in 13 months time in December 2022.

Jason Mamoa will be reprising his role as the Arthur Curry on his return to the great sea depths of Atlantis, with Amber Heard also reprising her role as The Princess of Xebel, Mera. Patrick Wilson will also be returning as Ocean Master, with Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Temuera Morrison all also reprising their roles from the DCEU movie's first entry.

James Wan has returned as the director of the sequel, who previously stated that this new entry will lean more heavily on Wan's horror background. The director said that the Italian sci-fi horror movie 'Planet Of The Vampires' from 1965 will serve as a major inspiration.

Catch Jason Mamoa in his new 'Aquaman 2' suit when the movie is released on December 16, 2022.
