Jerry Weintraub, the legendary Hollywood producer behind Ocean's Eleven, Behind The Candelabra, The Karate Kid and many others, has died at the age of 77.

Weintraub, who ran a successful production company, began his career as aT manager to the likes of Bob Dylan, Karen Carpenter, Neil Diamond, Frank Sinatra and John Denver.

In the 1960s, working as a promoter, Weintraub managed to convince a then-unknown Elvis Presley to go on tour, which then catapulted him into super-stardom.

Weintraub was also the CEO of United Artists for a brief period and managed tours for the likes of Led Zeppelin, Cuba Gooding Sr. and the Main Ingredient and The Four Seasons.

He was due to produce Tarzan for Warner Bros., however it's understood Weintraub suffered a heart attack.

He is survived by his four children.
