Cinemas have been taking a knock during the past year. But it seems they are coming back to life thanks to blockbusters. You could even say they have 'No Time to Die'...

The 25th James Bond movie is officially the No. 1 film released in Ireland in 2021. 'No Time to Die' made a total of €1.73 million in its opening weekend across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Previously, Bond movies 'Skyfall' made €1.6 million and 'Spectre' made €1.32 million.

Universal Pictures and All Ireland Box Office report that, to date, the all Ireland box office figure for 'No Time to Die' is €2.35 million.

In the UK, the film has made $35 million to date, according to Box Office Mojo, with an opening of $28.5 million.

On Saturday, 'No Time to Die' had the highest single day at the box office in the UK as well as Ireland in the history of the franchise.

It was also the highest single day gross since the release of 'Avengers: Endgame' in April 2019.

To date, its worldwide box office receipts amount to $121.3 million.

According to NBC Universal, it will be the first title from a major studio to be released during the pandemic to gross over $100m without China.
