2020 was such a rollercoaster of a year that it's hard to recall anything before it. For MCU fans everywhere, 2019 was a big deal, as it marked the release of superhero movie epic 'Avengers: Endgame'.

The movie saw Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans take their bow as Iron Man aka Tony Stark and Captain America aka Steve Rogers, respectively.

Fans have been able to enjoy the continuation of the Captain America story through the series 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier'.

Mark Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner aka the Hulk, was among the first to mark the second anniversary of the release of 'Endgame'.

He wrote on Instagram: "Can't believe it's been two years since the premiere of #AvengersEndgame. Love you all 3000."

He shared a picture of himself posing with co-stars Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner.

Ruffalo also gave a shoutout to the Marvel Disney+ series that have followed 'Endgame', writing: "Congrats to Elizabeth Olsen, @paulbettany, @anthonymackie, @imsebastianstan, and all our extended MCU family newly introduced in their shows so far. Excited to see what’s next for @twhiddleston & @jeremyrenner!"

Robert Downey Jr. also shared a post marking the occasion.

"Cannot believe it's been two years since Endgame," he wrote, alongside a video of him acting against a green screen background. He added: "#Loveyouall3000"

Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr. weren't the only ones celebrating.

The directors of 'Endgame', Anthony and Joe Russo, shared a number of behind-the-scenes pictures. They asked fans: "2 years since the release of Endgame… Which theater did you see it in for the first time?"

Heck even ESPN got in on the anniversary with this amusing tweet.
