Given that we're now living in a world where Donald Trump is US President, the United Kingdom has left the European Union and David Bowie has died, this should come as no surprise.

In fact, it's exactly what this world deserves in light of all of the above. This is some sort of cosmic judgement that's hit our plane of existence. It's payback. It's divine judgement in the form of a terrible, awful idea for a film that is honestly so stupid that to think about critically for a few minutes would give you a nosebleed.

Right, let's get into it.

THR has reported that Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the duo behind Meet The Spartans (Metacritic: 9%), Epic Movie (Metacritic: 17%) and The Starving Games (Rotten Tomatoes: 0%), are beginning work on a parody film based on Star Wars. While there's no official release date set for Star Worlds Episode XXXIVE=MC2: The Force Awakens The Last Jedi Who Went Rogue, we're hoping that some kind of plague or meteorite will hit the planet and kill every single one of us so we don't have to experience or review it.

Hey, we might get lucky - Donald Trump might start World War III, so that'll stop the film reaching cinemas, too.

No, but really, this is just the absolute worst idea. Spaceballs was a masterpiece. How dare you, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer.
