We recently got to sit down and chat to Brendan Gleeson and director John Michael McDonagh about their latest cinematic team-up, Calvary. The film opened the Jameson International Dublin Film Festival this year, recently won Best Picture at the IFTAs, and perhaps even more impressively, managed to bag a rare five-star review from us, which you can read HERE

So when we got the chance to talk to the guys involved for a few minutes, we jumped at the opportunity to ask them about how the film came about, what it was like creating and playing a purely "good" man in a world of cinema that is all about the bad guys, and what the reactions was from the religious community.

Brendan and John were in fine form, cracking jokes and having a laugh, but its also quite obvious that this is a passion project for them both, and take questions about their work on it quite seriously.
