While there are some of you who have complained about the rise of Kickstarter ('shouldn't we be raising money to give to people who genuinely need it? People who, I dunno, are maybe hungry 'n stuff?'), there are those on the receiving end who are most grateful. One such project is the Veronica Mars movie, starring Kristen Bell, which nobody involved can seem to believe is actually happening.

The legion of fans amassed by the cult TV show are pretty pleased too. Making waves at Comic Con, we've got a nice featurette right here for you to feast your eyes on which includes a trailer along with some interviews.

Based on the hit TV show (a hit with fans, not so much with ratings), Veronica Mars centres on titular character Veronica (played by the always awesome Bell) who lives in a fictional town called Neptune. She's a student who goes from high school to college while double jobbing and honing her craft as a private investigator, under the guidance of her detective father.

Fans are going nuts for this, and they're being thanked too; if it wasn't for them, the movie wouldn't have been made. As of today the film has wrapped shooting in LA.
