Italian composer Ennio Morricone will play a second Dublin performance on Saturday 27th July at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Kilmainhaim, it was announced this morning.

The composer, known for his scores to some of the most well-known movies of the last 50 years, will also play the same venue on Sunday 28th July.

Morricone's body of work includes compositions for over 500 movies and television series and he is particularly known for his work on Sergio Leone's A Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Once Upon A Time In The West, A Fistful of Dynamite and My Name Is Nobody. Most recently Morricone provided the score to Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained.

Morricone will be joined by the 97 piece Roma Sinfonietta and a 100-strong choir.

Tickets priced at €79.50 will go on sale from 9am on 22nd April.
