If you're a romantic as well as an animation nut, we've the list for you. This selection of movies are ideal for Valentine's Day viewing and are all available on Disney Plus now.

In no particular order, here are what we consider the perfect animated flicks for Valentine's Day films on Disney+.

The Princess and the Frog

This New Orleans-set romance was one of Disney's last traditionally animated films.

Up

Its "Married Life" montage is renowned. Have tissues at the ready for this one.

Tangled

"You were my new dream." "And you were mine." *sniffs*

Lady and the Tramp

If the spaghetti scene doesn't convince you of the romance in 'Lady and the Tramp', nothing will.

Cinderella

'Cinderella' is one of the more classical Disney romantic animations. "So This is Love" is still one of its great old-school ballads.

Wall-e

The love of the titular little waste-collecting robot for the sleek modern robot Eve, takes him on a journey across space and inspires Earth's last humans to take better care of the planet - and one another.

Hercules

He goes to the Underworld to save her soul. Now that's love.

Pocahontas

Back before Mel Gibson went a bit nuts, he charmed the world as John Smith.

Beauty and the Beast

Yes, there is the whole Stockholm syndrome issue. But when it comes to Valentine's film for animation fiends, 'Beauty and the Beast' almost always comes out on top.

The Little Mermaid

Sha la la la la la *something something* Kiss the girl!

Aladdin

Sparks flew between Aladdin and Jasmin, and the romance of "A Whole New World" helped.

Tarzan

It's not just us - Tarzan is the hottest Disney animated character, right? Jane is one lucky gal.

Shorts: Lava, The Blue Umbrella, Paperman

Disney+ subscribers should definitely put aside a little time to check out these three shorts. They're stunning to look at, as well as deeply moving and romantic. 'Lava' follows a volcano in love; the titular blue umbrella meets a red umbrella one rainy evening; and the Oscar-winning 'Paperman' sees an office worker try to connect with the girl of his dreams via paper planes.
