'Loki' is generally hailed as the best Marvel series to come to Disney Plus. Thus when season 2 was announced, there was much cause to celebrate.

Unfortunately, details on what the return of 'Loki' will look like are scarce.

For those who didn't see the finale, SPOILERS FOLLOW......

Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) kills He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), which unleashes the multiverse and a number of alternate timelines.

When Loki (Tom Hiddleston) returns to the TVA, or Time Variance Authority, without Sylvie, his now friend Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) doesn't recognise him.

Well clearly Hiddleson was always going to come back, being the namesake of the series.

But now we also have confirmation that Wilson is returning too.

He confirmed the news in 'The Wired Autocomplete Interview' on Youtube, where he answered "the web's most answered questions" about his life and career.

"Yes, he is coming back to 'Loki'," Wilson replied. "And I think we’re gonna start filming that pretty soon.

"I had a great time working on 'Loki'.

"I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that."

Aside from Hiddleston and Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who plays Ravonna Renslayer, is also set to reprise her role.

She told Good Morning America earlier this month: "I know there is a Season 2. I know that I’m in it. And that’s about all I can say!"

She added: "I just love Renslayer.

"I’m so excited to to explore her further and I’m so happy that people are really looking forward to the next season."

The last time we saw her character, she was walking away from the TVA, having been one of their cronies for a long time.

That's all for who's confirmed so far, which means no word on whether Di Martino is back as Sylvie.

Details about the plot and release date of 'Loki' are also airtight right now, but Marvel movies 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' and 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' could very well have some impact on its storyline.

'Loki' season 1 is streaming on Disney+ now.
