The cold weather in the northeastern United States shows no signs of abating and continues to wreck havoc on citizens, with transport and schools and businesses all shut down in certain areas and many people simply snowed in.

And now it appears the weather is affecting itself, with a geyser in Letchworth State Park in upstate New York having frozen solid and formed a 50 foot 'ice volcano' thanks to the sub-zero temperatures.

The geyser usually erupts quite regularly, but now that its spray has frozen into a cone it merely spouts a small amount of water and steam.
