‘Look at me, I’m the captain now.’

That famous line from Captain Philips has become iconic, and with good reason.

The actor who delivered (and improvised) it was Barkhad Abdi. Last night, the actor appeared on Conan, where he was asked if he ever gets quoted back the line - which he does all the time.

He also recalled the best instance ever that he was told ‘I’m the Captain now’, but we don’t want to give it away so watch it below:

Barkhad also revealed a touching story about how his family were living in war-torn Yemen when they got their U.S. visas through the green card lottery - a program that Trump wants to end.
