The stars of 'Sex and the City' have issued a statement in relation to the recent sexual assault allegations against actor Chris Noth.

Noth plays Mr. Big (aka John James Preston) in 'Sex and the City' and its recent spin-off 'And Just Like That...'

Last week, two women under the pseudonyms Zoe, age 40, and Lily, who is 31, came forward to THR to say that promotions for the spin-off, which is currently airing, had triggered painful memories of incidents that occurred in LA in 2004 and in New York in 2015, respectively.

Noth issued a statement to THR saying that the allegations are "categorically false" and that "the encounters were consensual."

He added: "It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women."

Last weekend, another woman came forward accusing Chris Noth of sexual assault.

According to the Daily Beast, the woman was 18 at the time of the incident, which she says occurred in 2010 at a New York City restaurant, while she worked as a hostess and lounge singer.

Noth's 'Sex and the City' and 'And Just Like That...' co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon have issued a joint statement in response to the allegations.

The actresses shared the statement across their respective social media accounts.

It reads: "We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it."

Chris Noth was recently dropped by his talent agent.

He was also let go from the TV drama 'The Equaliser'.

Last week, the LAPD confirmed that there was currently no investigation into the sexual assault allegations.
