Although everyone remembers and loves 'Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman', the new iteration probably won't feature Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher.

Instead, Tyler Hoechlin will take on the role of Supes, while Elizabeth Tulloch will be playing Lois Lane. The twist here, however, is that Superman and Lois are now raising their... superbaby? Superchild?... in the hectic, modern day world. Given how The CW's 'Arrow' is due to come to an end in 2020, the TV studio are no doubt eager to keep the audience locked in with more shows.

Hoechlin has been playing Superman / Clark Kent for some seasons now on 'Supergirl', while Elizabeth Tulloch starred as Lois Lane on 'Elseworlds', a recent three-part crossover arc from 'The Flash', 'Arrow' and 'Supergirl'. 'Superman & Lois', however, will be the first time the character of Superman has appeared in his own TV series since 2011's 'Smallville' went off the air. That series ended with Clark Kent finally revealing his Superman suit, along with he and Lois Lane getting married.

Todd Helbing, who was the showrunner on 'The Flash', is set to pen the script for 'Superman & Lois', with no air date confirmed as of yet for the show. If they do end up featuring Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, however, this theme tune has to get a blast.
