Having won an Oscar for Best Original Song at the 2013 Academy Awards, Adele's pretty much done with the whole ceremony business.

According to a recent report, Oscar organisers are desperate to get Adele in for the beleaguered 88th Academy Awards and wanted her to present an award at the ceremony. Currently, this year's Oscars is being boycotted by a number of actors, including Will Smith, and is under fire for its lack of diversity across its nominations.

However, sources close to Adele say the reason she's refusing to attend this year is because it's too close to the opening night of her tour. The Academy Awards will be held on February 28th with Adele's concert at the SSE Arena in Belfast falling on the 29th.

The source says that "organisers are desperate to get her and will still do anything to make it happen but she feels the turnaround is too tight and will not let anything jeopardise her tour."

The singer won for the theme song to Skyfall in 2013, with Sam Smith's theme song for Spectre, Writing On The Wall, nominated in this year's Oscars. Adele, of course, really doesn't need to attend the Oscars to help out her career - especially considering her album, 25, has smashed all sorts of records with the video for Hello becoming the biggest video debut on YouTube.
