It's that time of week again where we round up all the best movies that have made their way to the cinema and below is our pick:

If you're looking for something light and fun our four favourite castaways are back with the third installment in the Madagascar series. Madagascar 3: Europes Most Wanted sees Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria still struggling to get home to New York but this time they end up in Europe where they are pursued by animal control officer Captain Chantel Dubois. In an attempt to get to North America the castaways purchase a travelling circus which they reinvent, causing them to begin to question where their home truly is. For all you Tim Burton fans out there, Frankenweenie is out this week. The film follows young Victor who, when his beloved dog Sparky dies, conducts a science experiment to bring Sparky back to life. But this experiment leads to trouble when the local wierdo finds out about it. You can read our review here for the latest Burton film.

Steering away from the animation films, for something a little different, 5 Broken Cameras follows a Palestinian camerman as he films the weekly demonstrations in his village against the actions of the Israeli army. Beasts of the Southern Wild is a touching film where six year old Hushpuppy must learn to survive by herself as a massive storm floods the community and her Dad contracts a mysterious illness. Check out why this deserves a look here. Elle Fanning stars in Ginger and Rosa also out this week, set in 1960s london following two teenage lifelong friends during the cold war, with the threat of nuclear holocaust, the girls' friendship is shattered, our review for which is here.

And with Halloween just around the corner our must see movie of the week is Paranormal Activity 4. If you want to be scared sh*tless, this ought to be right up your street. Paranormal Activtiy 4 centres on teenage couple Alice and Ben and Alice's little brother Wyatt as strange things begin to happen when new neighbours move in.
