This morning it has been confirmed that one half of the biggest celebrity bust-up of 2019 will be appearing on the ice-skating reality TV show.

Confirmed as the ninth celebrity to be joining the reality show in 2021, Rebekah Vardy on 'Dancing on Ice' has been the biggest announcement of the series so far.

Vardy's appearance will cause many to think back to a much simpler time, when the most interesting news of the day revolved around two former best friends publicly having a go at each-other on social media. In case you need a refresher on what happened, Colleen Rooney accused Vardy of selling news about her to tabloid newspapers.

The news was confirmed earlier this morning on ITV's 'Good Morning Britain' when Vardy had a brief chat with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

Of course, Vardy's appearance on a TV show with Piers Morgan at the helm saw her being asked about the Colleen Rooney situation. The TV personality said that the former best friends: "Tried to sort things out amicably, it just didn't work. I understand people think it's ridiculous but you know, what was I meant to do?

"I need to clear my name, I want to clear my name. I will do whatever that takes, and I hope that it's going to be resolved soon."

Now all we need is for Colleen Rooney to be the next confirmed name on the reality series to really get the viewer's tuning in.

We'll have to make sure to see how well Rebekah Vardy on 'Dancing on Ice' fares when the series returns to ITV early next year. The other twelve celebrities who will be putting their lives into their own hands on the show include Denise Van Outen, Myleene Klass, and actor and singer Jason Donovan.
